With a Grandmother who was once asked to audition for the Metropolitan Opera in NYC on one side of the family, and a Father who had a love for singing and performing during his younger days on the other side, it was no surprise that singer/songwriter Steve Balesteri would share their passion for music. This was clear at a young age when one of the very first Halloween costumes he picked out for himself was Elvis Presley, who he took to after listening to his parents' records.

The 28-year-old Buffalo Native's love of music continued to grow through middle and high school, where Steve joined any group the schools offered, including a select all-male ensemble, which he would go on to direct during his senior year. During this time, Steve would become involved in theater as well, landing several leading roles at his school. This was all very surprising to those around him, who generally thought of him as rather quiet and shy and would even lead him to be voted most musical in his graduating class. Also during his High School years, Steve began taking private voice lessons with a highly recommended voice coach in the area, Virginia Greenan.

Steve went on to attend the University at Buffalo where he would graduate with honors from the Business school with a concentration in finance, despite plans to eventually pursue a career in music. While at UB Steve joined and became the business manager of the Buffalo Chips all-male A Cappella singing group. He also studied voice with several professors at the college.

After college, Steve could be found at many area restaurants and lounges performing songs from the Great American Songbook. Soon after, Steve started adding some Italian and Spanish favorites, including the works of Andrea Bocelli. This quickly drew attention from area politicians who soon be asking Steve to perform for many of their events. Also during this time, Steve resumed studies with his original voice coach from his high school days.

Steve has since branched out, and in addition to his solo work, performs his renditions of many Top 40 Pop, Rock and Party favorites with his band "The Good Life" and also as an acoustic duo where he gives a more intimate take on these songs as well as the Standards, catering to a wide range of audiences.

Currently, in addition to these projects, Steve has turned his focus to creating his own material, combining elements of Pop/Rock and a bit of Romance with his Soulful, emotional vocals to create a familiar yet distinct sound.
